Ava joined CGA in May 2025 as a Policy Associate, Advocacy. In this role, she will provide support to the State Advocacy team through administrative, research, and external presentation materials.

Ava brings experience in nonprofit communications, research, grassroots policy advocacy, community engagement, digital marketing, social media management, and strategic writing. She is passionate about driving positive change at the intersection of environmental advocacy, policy, and communication. She has supported organizations advancing climate action, energy equity, water justice, voter mobilization, and other critical social and environmental causes across the Midwest and Mexico.

Ava holds a B.A. in Environmental Policy and Planning, along with a minor in Social Justice and a Sustainability Certificate from the University of Iowa.

She is from Elmhurst, Illinois, and in her free time she enjoys exploring nearby forest preserves, walking her dog Cali, reading, and most recently, learning how to sew!
