Renewable Standard

10% by 2015 Renewable Portfolio Standard (statewide)

Key Issues

  • Continue aggressive work at the Legislature, Governor's Administration, and other key stakeholders to protect reasonable statewide siting rules
  • Partner with allied organizations and utilities to promote the development of proposed and new high-voltage transmission lines to allow import of wind power
  • Educate members of the legislature and Wisconsin PSC officials to the benefits of renewable energy as a way to drive investment, create jobs, and reduce the state's relatively high electricity prices
